Author Interview: Teiran Smith
Teiran is obsessed with the written word. When she’s not writing, she’s reading. She can get so lost in a story, be it one of her own or someone else’s, that she won’t even break away to eat, drink, or sleep. By the time she gets up from a story, she’s usually dizzy from low blood sugar and suffering blurred vision.
Whenever she’s not writing or reading, you will find her trying my hand at landscape photography, dabbling in abstract painting, and spending time with her husband, Scott, and their four legged child, Sasha.

What inspires you to write romance books?
I am a hopeless romantic always believing love conquers all. I’m in love with love and it’s what inspires me to write.
Tell us about how you write:
It usually starts with a spark of inspiration. An idea will hit me and I’ll sit for hours until I get the outline written. But I don’t necessarily follow the outline. Once I get started, I listen to my characters as they tell me their story.
Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I mostly listen, but every now and then will ask them questions.
What advice would you give other writers?
Read, read, and read some more. Hone your craft every single day.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I decided to become an indie author because I wanted total control over the process. Authors do he majority of their own marketing these days anyway.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Book publishing is an ever changing game. I don’t presume to know where it is going, but I always stay up to date on trends.
