Author Interview: Elizabeth N. Harris

About the author:
Elizabeth N. Harris was born in Dagenham, Essex, in the U.K. She graduated school there and lived there half her life. Hating the city she moved to South Yorkshire in 2002 and then finally moved to Derbyshire in 2005. She attended Chesterfield and Worksop Colleges, getting diplomas in a variety of subjects. She worked at a large and famous retail chain before beginning her writing career full time.

Elizabeth chose romance as her genre but covers this in a variety of ways. Whether it is a werewolf, hot sexy biker or a navy seal with issues, there is always romance involved.

Elizabeth herself lives with her four sons and her daughter. She is expecting her first grandchild and is excited about the event. She loves the Chicago Cubs, the New York Yankees, the Chicago Blackhawks, the Las Vegas Golden Knights and is a New England Patriot Fan. Despite being told many times she cannot support two MLB and two NHL teams Elizabeth continues to do so!

Elizabeth also loves to read, cook, and sew or knit. She's also mad on motorbikes but cannot ride one! She'd love to ride a Harley Davidson Lowrider. Her family tell her that she has a strange, disturbing sense of humour and she cackles like a witch when she laughs! Two little known facts are Elizabeth boasts 12 tattoo's and loves to collect dragons

Elizabeth has written books for over thirty years ever since her English teacher encouraged her at the age of thirteen. It has always been a dream to become a published author. She has a great many stories to tell and she hopes that you will follow her along those journeys. She has always been shy about sharing her stories but a song inspired her, I think we all know the famous song from the Greatest Showman, 'This is me!'

Elizabeth is a fan of strong willed women who have backbone and an answer to everything, eventually. She likes strong alpha males who often cross the line and then come unglued when their women don't obey but go merrily on their own way.

She enjoys talking to her fans and will reply to most messages sent to her, so drop her a line and say hi.

What inspires you to write romantic fiction?
Love basically. I don't think love should be all rose coloured glasses, if it's worth having, it's worth fighting for. I like twisty love stories myself and find them more enjoyable than the perfect story!

Tell us about how you write.
I get an idea and jot noted down and play around for a little with it. Then I just sit down and start to type. I don't follow a plan like some, I just let it flow.

Do you listen to or talk to to your characters?
Yes! Especially stubborn me or women being silly! I tell them off a lot.

What advice would you give other romance writers?
Don't give up on your dreams. If all you can think of is writing a story that is rattling around in your head, write it!

How did you decide how to publish your books?
The song from the Greatest Showman, This is Me, inspired me to publish. I've written stories for over thirty years, but never had the courage to publish until now.

What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think it's more open to Indies, it's harder today to get an agent and that big book deal. A lot of Indie authors are making it work on their own!

Which romance sub-genere(s) fit your stories best?
MC Romance, Biker Romance, Contemporary Romance

My books are available in the following formats:
eBook, Print
