About the Author
Celine Chatillon grew up watching Dark Shadows and Star Trek, while reading all the sci-fi classics and Harlequin romances she could get her hands on. Celine is the alter ego of multi-published romance novelist, Cynthianna. Celine finds writing erotica a very pleasant departure from her day job as a manuscript evaluator and copy editor. Her erotic-romance tales with eXtasy Books include Blood Bond, Blood Betrayal (Kindred Vampires series) and the series Brandi Whyne and Her Incredibly Erotic Adventures.. Her books with Liquid Silver Books include Help I’m Falling for the Vampire Next Door and Hanging with a Time Surfer among others. Her collection of SF erotic short stories, Heavenly Bodies, is available from Mojocastle Press. You can read excerpts from her novels on her web sites: http://www.celinechatillon.com and http://www.cynthianna.com

What inspires you to write romance books?
I’ve always been a bit of a cock-eyed optimist. I love the “happy ever after” ending (or at least “happy for now” ending). Even when all else goes wrong in the world, it’s nice to think that lovers can find each other, fall in love, and have a wonderful life together. Romantic fiction has the best of all genres along with this inherent optimism that’s just can’t be denied.
Tell us about how you write:
Mostly I write by the seat of my pants. I’ve tried outlines in the past, but I didn’t feel they helped me much. Once the characters start “talking” to me and I have their backgrounds and a setting and time established, there’s no real need to create extensive outlines. I just follow the characters’ choices and journeys.
Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My characters talk to me and I listen. Man, are they ever bossy at times!
What advice would you give other writers?
Listen to your heart and write what you like to read. It shows in your writing if you’re not happy with either the genre or characters you’re attempting to write. Don’t follow the crowd–be original.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
I asked around and took advice from other published authors on which publishers to approach.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
It’s up in the air at this moment–it could be different tomorrow than it is today. I’d just keep up with the trends and always trust your gut instincts.
What genres do you write?
Erotic-romance, paranormal romance, science fiction romance, fantasy romance, contemporary erotica
What formats are your books in?
eBook, Print, Both eBook and Print
