What inspires you to write romance books?
The rush that comes from reading a really good romance novel and the feeling of falling in love that comes with it. When that happens to me as a reader I know I want to create that feeling for my own readers as well.

Tell us about how you write:
I’m what most authors call a “pantser”. I never sit down with a real idea of what comes next. Usually stories are one or two vague concepts and I open my computer, stick on my headphones, and let the words come as they will. I never know what happens next until it happens, and usually I’m as surprised as my characters!

Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My characters talk in my head, like a movie scene playing out before me. My favorite time to think about and envision new scenes is right before I fall asleep at night, when their voices are the clearest.

What advice would you give other writers?
Romance is about eliciting a response from your readers. Create characters that they love, hate, or love to hate and readers won’t be able to put down your book.

How did you decide how to publish your books?
I am short on time and so self publishing was out of the question. I knew I needed a publisher to handle the day-to-day. I researched small presses and decided on Nevermore because they’re a family friendly company with a team-positive attitude.

What do you think about the future of book publishing?
There are so many books available now that authors have to make sure they’re putting out the best product they can create. Take time to edit, polish and revise. Get professional covers and blurbs. Quality is going to matter because quantity is only growing.

What genres do you write:: Steampunk, Scifi, Fantasy Adventure Romance

What formats are your books in: Both eBook and Print
