I come from a performing background with over 10 years acting experience. I have worked as a producer on various film projects before going on to set up my own production company. I am a trained editor and have also written and produced several short films scripts. Originally from England, after a few years of travelling the world I moved to Ireland where I currently live with my husband, 2 young daughters, 16 chickens, a pet rabbit and a cat named Tilly.

Everything around me inspires me. It could be the people I meet while out shopping or a man I pass on the streat or even a song on the radio. I'm inspired by everything.

I write in the dark at night like a vampire. When I was at college I always studied for exams at night while listening to music and the habit seems to have stuck. I have layers. I have the story in my head so I write it down as quickly as possible. Then the conversations between the characters come to me. Then I write the emotions. Then I go over it all and try to pull all the layers together.

All the time.

Write a little bit every day. Even if it's only two lines. Write every day!

I went with self publishing as I wanted control over how and what went out. I rely on Bloggers, Reviewers, adverts, and word of mouth. The writing community are amazing and always happy to help spread the word. I must admit Bloggers are great for me; they really helped get my work out there.

I think there is still a lot of change to come. There are so many tools out there for self publishers to use and they are getting better each day.
