About the author: To her, there is nothing better than enjoying as glass of wine and emersing herself in the world she creates through words. She has always been an avid reader of numerous genres, but especially enjoys Erotic Romance. Her first book, Enamored by Design, is one of three in her Erotic Romance and Suspense series.

Writing for A. N. Johnson is therapuetic but also fun. As a busy wife and mother of two toddlers, she still makes time to dedicate to her writing and is excited to share her journey as she enters into the world of authors.

“When I first sat down to write, I wasn’t sure I could do it. The idea of using words to paint a picture, capture the readers attention, and make them feel emotion was intimidating. However, I didn’t let that stop me and I am glad that I didn’t.”

– A. N. After many different attempts at various careers, A. N. Johnson has found her passion in writing.

My husband, music, my imagination. All of which helps me create stories that will make you swoon one minute then blush the next.

How do I write, let's see… well, for starters, by hand and with wine. I have tried sitting at a laptop and writing but I found I do better when I write by hand. The wine helps me forget about who will be reading my books and allows me to write freely. I take Ernest Hemingway's quote, "Write drunk. Edit sober," literally. Oh and music helps, but only songs prior to the 2000's.

Haha. If I say yes, will you guys have me committed? Just kidding. Yes, I often find myself talking to them or about them as if they are real people. I may need help.

First, I would say write what you are comfortable with. If you have a hard time seeing a certain adult scene play out in your head, you may want to steer clear of describing them in detail. If you are like me and have a "Sexy Imagination" then go for it and don't worry about what others will say. Not everyone will like your book and that is okay. I once read that if your story doesn't provoke emotion from you, it won't from your readers. Write from your heart and I guarantee it will.

Research. I looked into both seeking a literary agent and self publishing. I wrote down the pros and cons, calculated projected costs, and what I was willing to do myself. Research was definitely my friend and helped me make a decision that I can follow through without any regret.

I think that with the technology available that more and more people will self publish. Not only are you able to be as creative as you want with your works but have the potential to earn more. I also think although many people are finding eBooks to be easier to carry around and convenient, true book lovers will always want paperback copies. I am one of those people.
