About the author: When I'm not writing or reading, I'm probably working my day job, baking, playing with lipstick, petting a dog, or running.

What inspires you to write romantic fiction?

Tell us about how you write.

Do you listen to or talk to to your characters?

What advice would you give other romance writers?

How did you decide how to publish your books?

What do you think about the future of book publishing?

Which romance sub-genere(s) fit your stories best?

My books are available in the following formats:

I've been a serious bookwork since I was six, and eventually used my love of a good romance to start writing my own stories. There's nothing like getting lost in a different world, especially when it involves badass women and devastatingly sexy men.

I've always loved romance – there's something about two people finding each other that makes me happy, like having wine with your bubble bath. Love is a universal emotion that everyone experiences and no matter what else is going on with the protagonist, my favorite stories involve a happily-ever-after.

My writing is usually inspired by daydreams and fantasies. I have pages of notes (well, iphone notes) with story ideas when I need some help. The best stories are the ones that excite me – where I already have the entire story in my head without needing to take the time to write an outline. Sometimes the writing just flows out of my fingers – I'll practically close my eyes and let the words transfer straight from my brain to the page. Other times I need to think and plan, and those stories are great too.

I don't, but I think this is a good exercise I'll try in the future. Right now, I think as though I am the character – because usually, the character is a version of myself.

Write and read, a LOT. It's the easiest way to naturally develop your skill.

Actually, I was looking around online for ways to make some money on the side and I happened across an article about self-publishing erotica! I was like, oh my god, this is perfect for me – I'm already writing stories anyway! It has always been my dream to publish but I'd never considered self-publishing until then. I'm so glad I started, because I am having the time of my life.

I think with the increasing use of ereaders, the barrier to publishing is lowered. It is much easier and cheaper to self-publish an ebook than a paper book! That being said, I hope traditional publishers stick around, because they are the experts at selecting, editing, and marketing. There's nothing wrong with more books to read!
