About the Author

JD Nelson is a scenic artist for the entertainment industry, the author of the Night Aberrations Series and the Wicked Ways Series, and the owner of Chaste Moon Publishing.

When she’s not spending time with her husband, you can find her writing, reading, or on her commute to work.

What inspires you to write romance books?

I love to lose myself in the worlds I’ve created. When you’re the author, your favorite book never has to end.

Tell us about how you write:

With every book I write, my writing habits are different. The first one I wrote in a combination of notebooks and computer with an outline that I updated as the story progressed. The second, I typed straight from my head to the computer with no outline whatsoever. My latest book is in notebooks only because I can’t seem to concentrate if I’m on the computer. I blame Facebook. 🙂

Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?

I talk to my characters, yell at them, and sometimes threaten them with bodily harm if they’re not cooperating.

What advice would you give other writers?

Just write, and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.

How did you decide how to publish your books?

I knew that the likelihood of getting a traditional publishing contract was almost nonexistent, so self-publishing was absolutely the best answer for me.

What do you think about the future of book publishing?

I think that it’s already started to change. Self-publishers are paving the way for more variety and cheaper prices.

What genres do you write?

Adult Paranormal Romance

What formats are your books in?

eBook, Both eBook and Print
