About the Author<\/b>
\nI\u2019m a creative person at my core and love art in all its forms. But, there is something about books and their ability to create whole new worlds that captured me as a child and never let go. Due to my great appreciation for the written word, there has rarely been a week that passed where I wasn\u2019t devouring a book. But, as years past I found myself stagnant when it came to self-expression. I hadn\u2019t written, painted or sketched in years and came to the realization that it was wasteful to have an unrealized passion. Life is simply too short to ignore the things that spark creativity in favor of the mundane and tedious, so I made a resolution to write a book.<\/p>\n
What inspires you to write romance books?<\/b>
\nIt was inspired by a need to stretch myself. I have written poetry and short stories before but never anything longer than about 20 pages. I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone, focus on topics some might find taboo, something that isn't necessarily a part of everyday conversation.<\/p>\n
Tell us about how you write:<\/b>
\nMy unusual habit is that I write in the dark. And yes, I am well aware that it is horrible for my eyes. But, for me the only way I can see the story I want to tell is if I kill the lights, drown out all noise and let the story play out in my mind like a movie. Darkness and isolation make it easier to for me to focus on the nuances of each character.<\/p>\n
What advice would you give other writers?<\/b>
\nMy advice would be to treat writing like a 9 to 5 job. Give it the same time, focus and dedication.<\/p>\n
How did you decide how to publish your books?<\/b>
\nI wanted control over my work so I decided to go the self-publishing route.<\/p>\n
What do you think about the future of book publishing?<\/b>
\nPublishing is on a great path because there are now less restrictions, making more options and genre's available for consumption.<\/p>\n
