What inspires you to write romance books?<\/b>
\nTruthfully, i'm a romantic at heart. I'm the kinda girl that dreamt of the fluffy white dress and the prince charming waiting at the end of the aisle for her. I'm also a little jaded though and my characters reflect that. After reading romance for most of my adult life i became tired of the sweet virgins falling for the billionaire badboys. Dont get me wrong, i still love those stories. I just wanted something a little more realistic. I wanted something that didn't encourage women to strive for something that simply does not exist. Lets me honest, this is 2016 and i wanted my romance to show that.<\/p>\n
Tell us about how you write:<\/b>
\nI have a young son so my writing is strictly an after dark activity. Its a little hard to get into a charcater when you have a three year old asking for a snack. I'm a terrible planner too so i pretty much just wing the whole thing. I do get moments of inspiration throughout the day though and always jot them down in a notebook. I'm a stationary addict so there are always plenty of those on hand.<\/p>\n
Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?<\/b>
\nNo. My characters do tend to take on a life of their own though. A story never ends up the way i pictured it in my head at that first chapter.<\/p>\n
What advice would you give other writers?<\/b>
\nJust write. Dont second guess yourselves and just do it. I'm a doubter and tend to delete and rewrite a thousand times before i find something i'm completely happy with. It just holds me up and it definitely a flaw.<\/p>\n
How did you decide how to publish your books?<\/b>
\nI had multiple offers from book publishers however Forever Love was very much my story. Liv was completely based on myself apart from a few details. I wanted full control over everything and the only way i would have gotten that was self publishing.<\/p>\n
What do you think about the future of book publishing?<\/b>
\nSelf publishing is totally the future. Is it a good thing that anyone and everyone can now publish and sell a book? I'm not sure. But it's definitely changed the face of the publishing industry.<\/p>\n
What genres do you write:<\/b>: Romance, comtemporary romance, New Adult<\/p>\n
What formats are your books in<\/b>: Both eBook and Print<\/p>\n
