About the Author<\/b>
\nJeff Fuell was born in Dallas, TX and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. He first began to feel the desire to write when he was a teenager and started writing short stories. He is also an actor and member of the Screen Actors Guild\/America Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) and has been busy throughout the years involved with numerous theatrical productions, commercials, print work, industrial films and independent films. Besides writing and drama, his interests also include music, fitness, and, of course, reading and collecting books. His books include The Perfect Woman, Across Time, Earth Angel, WAR – Horseman of the Apocalypse (Love Blooms Eternal), Beethoven’s Immortal, The Goatman, Transference, TITAN: From Earth’s Past A Hero Rises,IMMACULATE: The Second Coming of the Christ and The Empath, the Warrior & the Win Rider. His writing spans genres such as science-fiction, time travel, adventure, romance, humor, theology, paranormal and young adult\/coming of age. Two of his previously published works are the short story “Birds,” published in The Armchair Aesthete Issue 7, and the poem “A Dark Place,” published in the collection The Colors of Life.<\/p>\n
What inspires you to write romance books?<\/b>
\nAs an author I believe that every great story in literature is essentially a love story. There may be a variety of elements but the love and romance elements are crucial.<\/p>\n
Tell us about how you write:<\/b>
\nI like peace and quiet with the radio set at a low volume. An idea can come in many ways. Sometimes I have the ending first, other times the title of a book and then a story. All of it is random. I tend to be a seat of the pants writer. I do not believe in writing outlines or chapter by chapter notes. I feel that this method is limited and does not allow a person’s imagination to stretch because they are already following a set of ground rules.<\/p>\n
Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?<\/b>
\nI hear and see everything I write. When am writing dialogue I hear what my characters are saying, even what they are thinking.<\/p>\n
What advice would you give other writers?<\/b>
\nRead romance books. Movies are also great for imaging. A great movie can deliver countless emotions because there is so much going on at once.<\/p>\n
How did you decide how to publish your books?<\/b>
\nI started with a publisher and began to feel as if I was just a name in a database and not really receiving the attention that I wanted, so I decided to self-publish. My advice to new authors is unless you are represented by a giant publisher like Random House and you have a machine behind you, you are pretty much better off self-publishing.<\/p>\n
What do you think about the future of book publishing?<\/b>
\nI am old-fashioned so I love a good paperback or hardback. However, I believe that electronic publishing will become more and more prominent over the years.<\/p>\n
