Vic is the owner of a three story brownstone. Although the top two floors are regular apartments with tenants who have signed leases, Vic runs a bed & breakfast out of his apartment on the first floor. His space is split into two levels. Vic lives in the basement while guests stay in the three bedrooms above him. Vic is a voyeur and he has cameras set up in the guests’ bedrooms and bathrooms.

What inspired you to write your book?
Experiences from my childhood and sexual history. A draw to the mysterious and the desire to see the forbidden.

I’m a voyeur. I watch people. And I love it. I’ve given up years ago on stopping myself. I went through five therapists. I gave up. I don’t pay for therapy anymore. If I saw a therapist now it would be for a number of other reasons, but not for my voyeuristic predisposition. I’ve read books, practiced meditation, taken vows, said mantras, flogged myself, and listened to self-help books on tape, nothing ever dulled my urge to watch. When I finally arrived at accepting myself a huge burden lifted. My life took on a greater sophistication in understanding my subjective experience.
