What inspired you to write your book?
To me, there is nothing sexier than someone who loves animals. I also know what it's like to be in that awkward phase before rebounding after a divorce. I decided to combine these two elements in my first erotic romance short story. The Awakened Vixens series features stand-alone stories with the core theme being women rediscovering their sexuality or exploring new sexual paths.
Here is a short sample from the book:
Any awkwardness that Sara had been feeling melted away, and she was acutely aware of her heart skipping a beat as his eyes met hers. The gaze was intense, and it conveyed that last night wasn’t going to be where the fun stopped.
The delicious aroma of garlic bread and marinara sauce welcomed her home. As soon as she stepped through the door, Jack was rubbing against her calves, demanding petting penance for leaving him.
“Jack o’ Lantern, have you been a good boy?” Sara asked, crouching down to give him her undivided attention. After a few minutes of purring, it seemed that her brief absence had been forgiven.
Straightening her posture, she opened her mouth to apologize yet again, but Mike held up his hand.
“I’m just glad you’re here safe and sound. I can keep dinner warm if you want to take a shower?”
The thought of how wonderful it would be to let the warm water massage away the tension in her neck overcame her.
“That would be so nice, if you don’t mind? I don’t want to keep you here if you have plans?”
Mike laughed softly. “Nope, just plans involving dinner with a beautiful and intriguing woman.”
Sara found it hard to swallow and willed herself to return a confident smile. “Alright, I won’t be long then.”
As she waited for the shower to warm up, Sara washed away the flight from her face and hunted around in her vanity for her good perfume. It was the expensive one that she had told herself she was saving for a special occasion.
Despite her promise to take a quick rinse, she found herself taking extra time to make sure her legs were smooth and silky. She was already breathless at the thought of his strong hands cupping and massaging her thighs.
