About the author:
Kristin is very thankful to have found another half of her brain in her dear friend Kat. Who, might be thousands of miles away, is never farther than a text or a phone call. Together they make up the dynamic duo writing and producing the hilariously romantic and sexy “Has-Been Series”.
What inspired you to write your book?
A hilarious story idea that morphed into a brilliant and romantic love story then evolved into, what will be, an 8 book series. Currently books 1 & 2 are out and will follow four men’s lives as they work and/or retire from the pornography industry and deal with the hand life gave them.
Here is a short sample from the book:
I wasn’t in any way fazed and I was more than intrigued to know more about her. “Well, I can relate, I didn’t end up following any path I thought I would.” Shit, why did I say that? I so didn’t want to get into what I did for a living— I quickly added, “And for the record, I can’t believe you haven’t dated much. From what I’ve seen, you’re quite the catch Emmy.” I let out a breath. Good cover, Tony.
She blushed, and my misdirection tactic worked. Good. I kept going, “In fact, you’ve pretty much blown me away. And if we’re being honest here, I haven’t really done the dating thing either.”
She looked up. “Oh come on, I don’t believe that for a minute, you probably have women all over you.”
I laughed, but it was full of dryness. “Yeah, well, they aren’t ones that I could ever settle down with. No one like you, you’re different.”
She turned her head away and looked down swirling the wine glass in her hand again. “I’m not like other women, Tony. I’m broken …” Her voice was small, almost whispering the last words. Her finger stroked the rim of glass as if searching out comfort.
“Aren’t we all, Emmy?”
She looked up almost surprised and shook her head trying to convince me. “No, you don’t understand …”
I interrupted and strode around the counter to her side. “Hush,” I put my finger up to her sweet lips, they were softer than I expected. The need to touch her was overwhelming. “You’re perfectly imperfect, just like me and everyone else in this world. But, sometimes it just takes one person to have that missing piece, and you find that you actually fit together. In every way.”
