About the author:
Kelly is a fan of love and writes romance in all forms. You can expect her stories to be fun and flirty, angsty and gut-wrenching, or downright dark and extremely naughty. One thing they’ll all have in common is a happy ending. However it comes. No matter the obstacles or dire circumstance. Either way, it’ll be a roller coaster ride of emotions, just the way she likes it. Music and dancing are her go-to outlets. If there’s a party and a dance floor (optional), she’s usually the first one out there. When not writing, Kelly can be found working at her day job assisting people in their search for information and concocting a plan to write more.
What inspired you to write your book?
A poem. I was watching a movie and one of the main characters was a poet. He was reciting a poem in the last few minutes of the movie and it just triggered something in my brain. The Names You Call Me was created from that moment.
Here is a short sample from the book:
Once upon a time Alexander Wirth came out of nowhere, crashing into my ninth grade homeroom and turning my world upside down. Becoming his friend made me happier than I’d ever been, after I stopped being so damned stubborn around him.
Granted, it took a while, but he pushed into my life like a fourteen-year-old steamroller. Bugged the hell out of me by weaseling his way in. At first I thought someone dared him to befriend me like some cruel, sick joke. Or like one of those teen movies I’d watched on TV, where a cool guy became friends with a loser just to win a bet. I wouldn’t put it past those kids I went to school with. Not for one damn minute. But that wasn’t Xander.
