What inspired you to write your book?
I have always been fascinated with the supernatural. Having been brought up on the old Hollywood movies of Wolfman, Dracula, the Mummy, and Frankinstein, I always wondered how it would feel to create a story in that genre.
Here is a short sample from the book:
The dark held a deathly chill, and he appeared aware of the demon’s presence. Standing in front of the gothic design, Connelly shifted from one foot to the other, and his hands trembled. He took a deep breath, rolled his shoulders, and the shaking ceased. Then he straightened like a soldier ready for combat, boldly pointed his Talisman finger, and shouted, “Sararta Morsmorde!” Straight away, a thunderous noise grew overhead as dark smoky squares tumbled one by one and hung suspended in midair like large individual chalkboards. Then a misty giant blinked in and out like a light bulb blinking off and on, as it fought against the magic that was making it visible to the human eye.
