About the author:
WITH TACITURNITY AND SUPERFLUOUS HUMILITY, I AM AN INTELLECT AND AVID WRITER.
What inspired you to write your book?
THE CARRIER is not an average sci-fi novel.
Irrespective of its fictional nature, it aims at addressing real issues affecting our world. It shows how certain events in our lives can turn out to be life changing. It also gives a detailed account about how politics intertwines with most of the issues we face today. It emphasizes how the little things around us we take for granted today, may be of great value tomorrow.
Here is a short sample from the book:
I roll my eyes, inviting my 'uninvited' guest inside my humble abode.
"What a lovely house you've got here." she then turns to Xavier.
"And lad too."
he smiles innocently.
"He is eleven, you know. Xavier, can you go to your room till I call for you?" I say
"Okay, mum." he sarcastically replies. I roll my eyes 'again'.
"What brings you here." I ask Rebecca.
"You of course."she says.
"Forgive my manners, can I get you something? Perhaps water, soda… blood?" she emits a sardonic laugh then keeps a straight face.
"I won't be staying long because I have even more urgent matters to attend to. Why don't you sit down."
I take a sit far away from her for good measure. (she could be holding an injection for all I care.)
"The result is out."
There is a deafening silence in the room.
"so…. what does it say?"
"it is not what it says that you should be bothered about now, but what it does not say." she tells me emphatically.
"You know I am not one for proverbs. Can you come again?" I say.
She sighs. "Indeed there is something unusual going on within you."
