The Bordunes: Lorelei Langley by Richard DuBois

They were the richest family of the Gilded Age. Behind their facade of aristocratic refinement lies a saga of lust, love and greed. From the great palaces of Europe to the mansions of Newport, they lived in a world of unrivaled opulence and unbridled passions. Lorelei Langley is the first chapter of the upcoming novel The Bordunes. Lorelei is a southern vixen, impoverished by the Civil War, who has come to Manhattan to marry well and won’t let anything stand in her way.

About the author:

Richard DuBois is the author of Last Resort, a taut thriller set on tropical island, and he is also the author of the Sector 5 series of spooky sci-fi books for middle grade readers. The Bordunes is his first venture into erotica.

What inspired you to write your book?

Anything to do with The Gilded Age fascinates me. The Astors, Vanderbilts, the robber barons and the pampered American heiresses seeking titled husbands from Europe—the epoch offers a rich vein for an author to explore. Injecting a healthy dose of steamy sex into the traditional historical saga gives an extra page-turning excitement to the book.

Here is a short sample from the book:

With an audible pop, Lorelei removed Beauregard’s swollen cock from her mouth, and waited in delicious anticipation as his tongue licked the outer folds of her wetness a mere inch from her clit. Beauregard knew how she loved it when he prolonged her release, tongue dancing everywhere except her hot, little button. He planted burning kisses on her flat tummy, and then on the smooth skin of her inner thighs.
Gripping his cock at the base, she lay naked upon him—face down, with his head in the opposite direction, his face buried between her thighs. She cried out, “I can’t bear it! I beg you. Do it now!”
She heard him chuckle and could easily imagine his lazy smile. A second later, his mouth was all over her clit, kissing it, taking it between his lips, lovingly caressing it with his tongue. He moaned as though she tasted of the most succulent fruit, her nectar the sweetest honey. The sound of his lusty moans coupled with his hot tongue flicking and pushing upon her rocketed her to an instant orgasm. She reveled in the intense sensation, wishing it to last forever. When it faded, she regarded his cock with a blissful smile. A bead of sticky semen glistened at the tip. Long-limbed and so lean that without his clothes he was practically skeletal, Beauregard possessed an endowment of legendary proportions. Looking at it, she nearly laughed, for it seemed as though it nearly outweighed him.
Lorelei ran her lips up and down the length of his shaft while he continued to lavish attention on her clit. They both knew her second orgasm was only moments away. She stroked him with two hands and still had enough of his length exposed to bathe it with her eager mouth. Her jaw stretched to accommodate his girth. She licked the underside of his thick head, touching the trigger that she knew would bring him to ecstasy, but Beauregard had a different conclusion to this intimate encounter in mind.

Mischief on Albemarle by Vivian Roycroft

    0 out of 5

Miss Beryl Wentworth is silently, desperately in love with her childhood friend, Finian Fitzwilliam, who unfortunately still treats her as if willing to shove her into the nearest mud puddle. It’s infuriating now that she at least has grown up, leading to uproarious and horribly public arguments between them, and it seems he’ll never treat her as a woman grown, never look at her that way… until a quite charming rake asks her for the first two dances at the Hanover Square assembly room. Dare she hope that His Grace, Ernst Anton Oldenburg, the Duke of Cumberland (and some say a foreign prince) is serious, even if Fitz is not?

Fitz can’t believe it. The man’s a rake, he ruined Anne Kirkhoven only weeks ago, and now Beryl agrees to dance with the villain? Strong-willed she might be, but there must be something Fitz can do to extricate her from that ducal clutch. Even if it means interrupting them behind the shrubbery in Hyde Park.

How can the Scoundrel of Mayfair bring two feuding hearts together without setting off the final argument that tears them apart forever?

The Wedding Bed by Ava Archer Payne

Miss Calla Lily Staunton. Her given name had meant nothing to him, but he remembered her.he wild one. The troublemaker. The one who’d attacked a cobra with a stick, smoked a hornet’s nest, and challenged him to a horse race across along the muddy banks of the Hooghly River. The one who’d attempted to adopt a tiger cub after local hunters had shot and killed its mother. The scar along her jaw was a reminder of the folly of that act—a lifelong reminder, evidently—proof that the cub, though young, was not nearly as docile as she’d assumed. The Hindu woman kept speaking, and the word nayan caught his ear. Matchmaker. He forced his attention back to her agitated monologue in time to hear, “…has come to England to marry.” His gaze returned to Miss Staunton. “My congratulations. And who is the lucky groom?”

The lamp beside her sputtered and flared, enabling him a better view of her face. Her eyes, he noted, were not brown at all, but blue. Deep blue. Eyes that suddenly twinkled with devilish glee. Her remarkable lips quirked upward as she replied with a single word that made his blood run cold.

    “You.”

    Kydona by Thomas Krug

Named for heaven, the kingdom of Elessia once served as a beacon to the world. Now its name has become a byword for decadence. When Lord Prince Marcus hears the beginnings of a vast conspiracy from the lips of his dying mother, he sets out to uncover the motives lurking behind the war his father waged. With the help of Kaelyn—a sharp-tongued courtesan nursing a long-hidden desire—and Vernon de Gauthier—a near-disturbingly prolific womanizer with a weakness for apples—Marcus slowly unearths the truth: his country lies on the brink of collapse. And soon, the vanquished nation of Kydona will rise to settle a generation-old score.

In Elessia’s debauched court, the threat goes unheeded. Marcus’s romances bloom and just as quickly wither. Blood is shed, lives extinguished. It matters little. Quarrel and murder, lust and love, right and wrong—the lines that separate these are hopelessly blurred in the throes of court intrigue. And the difference between each rests on a knife edge so sharp that even a hero cannot tell them apart.
