Here is a short sample from the book:
“You know what my dear brother?” Sarcasm dripped from my voice. “You can pretty much fuck off now.”
I stormed off the dining room, and my legs took me on autopilot toward my room. My thoughts too dark and cloudy. I called Nick to get over Evan, but he went caveman on him and ruined my last chance for salvation.
His footsteps clapped behind me and I could feel the vibrations inside me making my heartbeat go eighty. I sprinted.
“Juliette.”
I winced, his voice making me defenseless, disoriented, and I stopped in the last moment before I tripped over the plant in front of mom’s bedroom.
And then his hand wrapped around my waist trapping me against his flushed body. His breath lingered on my neck and raised the tiny hairs on my body.
I shuddered violently.
“Let me go, let me go, let me go,” I screamed at him, but his grip was iron strong.
He dragged me to his room. I thrashed with my whole body to break free, but he gripped me harder. Without mercy.
Once inside, he let go of me, locked the doors and I put as much distance as possible between us. He stalked towards me, his eyes roaming over me. I took a step backward. Then another one. And then I hit the wall.
I turned left to escape, but he jammed his hand on the wall right next to my head. I turned right, but he put the other hand on the wall and caged me in.
He leaned in, and his scent made me lightheaded.
“You can’t escape.” His heated gaze burned my skin, melting my resistance. I went weak against him.
