About the author:
Jade is an easy-going connoisseur of erotic romance who enjoys art, pizza, and, of course, writing. She has written short erotica under different pen names, and has even been known to pen the occasional sweet romance as well. She writes in the great Pacific Northwest with her cat, Kid Flash.
Here is a short sample from the book:
When Cat woke, the sun was already shining through Leander's windows and his bed was empty.
She pushed herself up on an elbow and looked around the room. "Leander…?"
The room was silent. But after a few moments, Cat detected the faint scent of bacon. She got up and pulled one of Leander's shirts on—it was just long enough to cover her essentials, although the collar was prone to falling over her shoulder. She smiled.
Leander was in the kitchen making breakfast. "As promised," he said, grinning down at her. They exchanged a kiss.
"Mm. Thank you," Cat murmured, hugging him from behind while he poked at the stove with a spatula.
They ate quickly without speaking about the night before; Cat decided to bring it up when they settled into the couch to watch TV.
"Le?"
"Yes?" She had his full attention.
"Last night—are you…Did I…" Did I scare you off? "Was it okay?"
Leander's eyebrows came up for a second, and then Cat was buried against his chest, his arms tight around her. "You were amazing," he said with a breathless little laugh. "I mean, just…perfect. I love you."
Cat's heart skipped a beat. She smiled against his heartbeat, wrapping her arms around his waist. "I love you, too," she whispered.
"Was it…" Leander seemed to struggle with his words. "Was it okay for you?"
"Oh, yes," Cat said, sensing the need to reassure. "You were perfect."
"But I didn't make you—" Leander cut himself off. "I mean. You didn't…"
Cat pulled back enough so she could look up into his eyes. "It doesn't matter to me if I do. I just want to be with you."
Leander cupped one side of her face, brushing his thumb against her cheek. "Really, though?" he murmured.
"Yeah. I just want you. I only—I mean, you're all I need. Nothing else matters."
He kissed her then, so she wrapped her arms around his neck to kiss him back. She startled slightly when his arms came around her thighs, and then she was laughing as he picked her up. She wrapped her legs around him and didn't release her hold on his neck. She looked down at him for a happy moment, grinning, and then she kissed him again.
