I have been writing under Purity Pierce since I joined Amazon in May 2019. Purity writes flash fiction erotic romance and has published ten ebooks to date. Mary Lou comes out of her room and says hello which is followed up with a big hug and a “tongue lashing” about having not fixed a plate yet.
“The kids said they needed help with their homework” was the lame excuse she offered up. Mary Lou sat a plate filled to overflowing in front of her. BBQ beef, greens, cornbread, a cheeseburger and she wasn’t sure of what all else. Nothing like having a grill on the front lawn and hauling food up and down the stairs.
“Thanks Ma” she says as she digs in like she hadn’t eaten in a week. She sniffed and sighed with each bite. She always loved eating at Ma’s house. Ma knew how to cook! Tierra had spent her life working out of the house that she never got a chance to learn how to cook. TV dinners in the microwave and sandwiches. She did try and must have done okay by Michael since she never heard him complain. But still she can’t hold a candle to Mary Lou. No one can.
She finishes wolfing down the food and Ma tells her to join her in her room. It’s much quieter and cooler too. M.L. won’t let just anybody in her room. She’s always afraid someone is going to steal something out of there. She and Tierra are sitting and chilling. Her room had its own air conditioner so it was always nice and cool. A little conversation in between TV shows. Nothing like relaxing which was something neither of them got to do very often.
