Description

About the author:

Author of several short stories, Beth has a predilection for gay romances, but also writes of the fantasy …

Here is a short sample from the book:

Night fell on the metropolis of New York. The sky was clear and the moon poured over the city its pale light.
Followed by three of his bodyguards, the sole owner of the Grant Company, Philip Grant, a handsome man with long black hair who had just celebrated his 28th birthday, entered in the hotel’s lounge bar where he was staying, The Samaran.
He rarely moved to the headquarters of his company, usually leaving his right hand to handle routine business. But this time, the stake of the contract had forced him to come as far as New York. So he took advantage of it to relax a little, far from the rigor he imposed to himself most of the time.

  • Maximus (Lords of Otherworld #1) by Stella Rainbow

    0 out of 5

A workaholic soul collector. A human with hidden powers. An evil causing chaos everyday.

    Maximus:

The first time I went looking for Kym, it was because he was a relative of a murder victim I was investigating. Every time after that? It was because I realized he was my mate.

For the first time in my long existence, I’d found something more important than my work. But with children getting kidnapped and an evil unlike I’d ever seen growing stronger, my realm and my king needed me more than ever.

Could I really make a choice between my family and my mate?

    Kym

I knew my uncle’s death had been a murder, but no one believed me except my best friend. That is, until I met Maximus.

He didn’t scare me, not even when he told me he was my fated mate, or that he was from a different realm. He was intimidating, but also really sweet. I wanted him, but choosing him meant letting go of everything I held dear.

Could I really make a choice between the only home I’d ever known, and the man who promised me the world?

Maximus, the first book in the Lords of Otherworld series, features a workaholic soul collector, a wary tattoo artist who is intimated by him and yet can’t seem to stay away, and a romance that spans across realms.

Each book in the Lords of Otherworld series features a different couple with an overarching plotline. Each book ends in an HEA for the couple, but it is recommended to read the books in order for the most enjoyment.

  • Matchmaking Beyond the Veil by Mara Townsend

Emery Belmont is a snarky realist who likes his life ordinary. Like any skeptic, he’s content using mundane explanations to write off signs of paranormal activity. That’s no longer an option when the spirit haunting his house wrecks his new kitchen, forcing Emery to face the supernatural truth. Desperate for a new handyman, he unknowingly hires his hot ex-rival from high school to fix it. Paxton Santos, Emery’s former lacrosse team captain, followed in his father’s footsteps to take over the family business. Annoyingly, Emery requires his talented hands more than he needs to keep Paxton out of his life. However, getting Paxton to leave after the repairs may prove difficult with the meddlesome ghost taking a shine to him, which Paxton seems to take in his grating, good-natured stride, remaining irritatingly unruffled by numerous weird occurrences.

Emery is bombarded by paranormal hijinks, keeping Paxton at arm’s length, and solving an inescapable mystery. There’s nothing Emery hates more than an unfinished puzzle. In his determination to solve this one, Emery reluctantly opens himself up to new possibilities all while trying to remain firmly rooted in life the way he prefers it—orderly, logically explainable, and, above all else, ghost-free.

Join Emery and Paxton as they face off with a spirit that has no limits to how far it will go to push them together, enduring locked doors, faulty plumbing, and sharing a bed. Together they are determined to navigate their way out of this mess using any means necessary to send the ghost packing. Will they make it out of the traps awaiting them before their pesky tormenter gets any other ideas to make things worse and further blur the line between them?

Matchmaking Beyond the Veil is a 100k slow burn MM romance tale of rivals to friends to lovers. Featuring a meddling ghost playing at matchmaker, forced proximity, bed sharing, ghost tours that totally aren’t dates, and tongue-in-cheek humor. This story ends on a HFN ending with a soft cliffhanger. Emery and Paxton’s story will continue in Telltale Ghosts Book 2. This book contains denial, two men experimenting with sex magic, fighting what the heart wants, and steamy explicit sexual scenes and colorful language intended for adults 18 and older.

  • Hero by Laurel Black

Strangely enough, Daniel felt empty. Did that bout of immaturity send an innocent kid to his death? Maybe, maybe not. But then again, a lot of teenagers did stupid things. Why? Maybe for the drama. Maybe to try and protect themselves, or to taste the forbidden fruits adulthood had to offer. Or maybe just out of sheer boredom. Daniel should know. He’s done more than his fair share of stupid acts.

But the fact that the kid had to go through that, only to turn into some kind of statistic. Perhaps even a cautionary tale for victims and bullies and children who enjoy walking around at night. That was all that kid would be remembered by, and it left a bitter taste in his mouth.

Suddenly, he felt a hand on his. Daniel’s eyes flickered down, and saw Alec’s fingers intertwine with his. “Hey,” he muttered.

“I could look into your friend’s disappearance,” Daniel found himself blurting out. After a few minutes of awkwardness, he mentally kicked himself. The sheer look of shock was more than enough to make Daniel regret those words, but even more so when Alec’s grip tighten. “No, it’s fine.”

“Are you sure? I know a couple of guys at the police station. I could-”

    “Please Daniel. Just…leave it be.”
