What inspired you to write your book?
This book is actually a short story spinoff of my first book, The Scar Came from Destiny znfp-I. Shadow Moon is by far my favorite antagonist and I desperately wanted to explore her character more deeply than my main storyline allowed.
Here is a short sample from the book:
How wonderfully wretched she was! What wrath that dust not be brought to dust! She was a living thing… at least she used to be. As such, she should be subject to the primeval forces from whence she came, and so she thirst to be.
Did she resent the mysterious one who thrust this state of being upon her? That was a difficult question, though not for sake of uncertainty. She had attempted to show her mercy by sparing her from an untimely demise. In this, She did the best She could, and that much was mercy. Shadow might even call it worthy of honor.
Nonetheless, She was trapped in another dimension, and as far as Shadow was concerned, there She may remain, to feel a thousandth of her own anguish. Those who invoke the name of justice shall one day hear its voice. From its ever-reaching grasp, none are truly free. Old transgressions, like the one placed upon her, shall always be remembered, in love and in death.
