What inspired you to write your book?
Laying the Ghosts of Christmas was inspired by the excitement and lush sensuality of Christmas, a time of year when it feels as if wishes will come true, and by the love of books that is shared by its heroine.
Here is a short sample from the book:
Deliberate, unhurried, I slipped my palms downward to free one shirt button at a time until I was able to slide inside, caressing his chest, his firm abs, his breathing now audible, eyelids closing. I pulled his jacket back and down from his arms, followed by his shirt, popping the cufflinks, releasing his torso. Aroused, I could not resist allowing the tops of my breasts, exposed by the low-cut nightgown, to brush along his warm skin as I sank to the rich Turkish carpet and onto my knees. Closer still, I allowed my lashes to flutter and butterfly against his skin, planting tiny kisses onto his stomach for the thrill of making him shudder.
