Susan A. Buchanan, a Brooklyn native, she lives and works in bustling and exciting New York City. She loves all the museums, restaurants and galleries the city offers and appreciates her time with family and friends. However, her love affair lies with her laptop and the characters in her imagination. What inspired you to write your book?
The concept of loss, grief and trying to pull yourself together after a tragedy is what inspired me to write Jillian's story. I wanted to show how a supportive system of family, friends and a new romance can purge some old demons and give you a new lease on life.

Oh, this man, this man… Fire burns through my body, my heart feels like it wants to beat out of my chest and my back arches as Reid holds me down and is loving me so very well. I’m hovering right at the edge of my orgasm as he slowly takes me there. I’m trying so hard not to scream as he nibbles on my ear.

I realize that I want to belong to him. He’s one of the best people I know, and he’s kind, caring and generous. I was very embarrassed, it was odd talking to him about that, it sort of reminded me of my gender, I hadn’t thought like that with him. Do I have to strip? Can’t I do something else — dance, maybe?
He laughed, then he thought about it. Well, you’d have to take most of your clothes off. Maybe you could still keep a bit.
How about no touching, I said, I was nervous to think how a party could turn out. kay, he said, I’ll be there, I can keep an eye out for you.
I felt a surge of certainty and doubt at the same time. Okay, I said, I’ll do it. You can meet the other girl before the party, she’ll show you what to do, he said.
I didn’t sleep that well, I kept having thoughts about showing myself off, but I consoled myself with the thought that I wasn’t really going to go all the way. I think I even dreamt about being nude in front of a whole group of men, at school of all places.
