About the author:
Rianne Burnett loves writing erotica that features women who are willing to explore all aspects of their sexuality. When she isn't thinking about her main characters cavorting with otherworldly creatures, she's tinkering in her garden, reading, or spending time with her family.
What inspired you to write your book?
I thought it would be fun to explore a world where genetic mutation was a combination of science and the supernatural.
Here is a short sample from the book:
When we pulled into the lodgings’ parking lot, we hesitated a few minutes before letting go of each other.
“Would you like me to walk you to your door?”
God, yes.
“Sure.”
A rush of excitement ran through me as we walked from the Jeep. At that moment, I wished I had teleportation abilities. I could be in my room in a nanosecond, maybe fast enough to leave my building anxiety behind and long enough to take a chance. As we approached my room, I noticed that the door was accentuated by a small circle of light coming from under it and I sighed with relief. Even in a secure facility, I had to leave the light on if I knew I’d be out late. A break-in a few years ago had left me unharmed but far from unscathed.
We got to my door and I used the swipe card to unlock it. I turned around as Michael stepped closer, putting us mere breaths apart. My lips parted and then his lips were on mine. They were soft but insistent. I let his tongue slip past my lips and I grabbed his shirt so we could step back into my room.
We stopped kissing only long enough for him to close the door then our lips were together again. He ran his hands along my sides to grab my buttocks and put me on the edge of the bed. He shrugged his jacket off then I unbuttoned his shirt and dragged it off him. His body was thick with chiselled muscle and I ran my palms slowly over his chest.
