About the author:
Liv Arnold has worked as a copywriter for several global companies and now runs her own freelance business. She grew up in Melbourne, Australia, and lives with her husband and their spoiled dog, who only eats freshly cooked meals. When she’s not writing, Liv’s avoiding the gym, devouring a cheese platter, or marathoning way too much TV. And of course, she’s a massive book addict and often reads until all hours of the night.
What inspired you to write your book?
Etched in Stone is filled with puns and embarrassing scenarios people can relate to. Even from my cover’s tagline, ‘The hardest choice…Either way she’s screwed.’ I own the space of erotic romance and embrace it.
A lot of erotic romance novels are serious. I’m not a serious person by nature and love a joke. Plus, I’m the most awkward person ever. A lot of the over-the-top funny scenarios in my novel has happened in real life. Or I stole it from a friend’s situation.
Here is a short sample from the book:
Page after page spat out from the printer. Vanessa waited for her documents to finish, tapping one foot. She bit back a curse as the machine jammed. This was the worst thing to happen. She had a one-hour deadline, and she wasn’t handy at fixing things.
“Don’t be afraid to be rough with it.” She gasped as Sebastian appeared beside her. He loosened the paper and banged the printer. Like magic, the pages hurtled out again
“That’s what she said.” Childish but the line was the first thing to pop into her head.
So much for an intelligent conversation starter.
To her relief, a small smile played on his lips. “Those jokes never get old.”
“I do make myself laugh a lot.”
“You had me smiling all day after we met.”
