What inspired you to write your book?
Love, injustice,
Here is a short sample from the book:
Zora would wake her up with much trauma. That morning was not any different. Or was it? Yes it was different, because this time Mona did not get up the first time Zora woke her up. Swollen out of proportions by lack of sleep, her usually tender eyes refused to open. She tried getting up but her body dictated otherwise. It was the ultimate struggle between mind and body. Zora entered back Mona’s room, but Mona was still sleeping. Zora became enraged, infuriated, and irritated. She furiously stormed out of the room, went to the kitchen and entered back Mona’s room with a bucket full of cold water.
“Get up! Get up! Lazy girl!” Zora shouted as she threw the bucket of cold water on Mona.
“Aie! Aie! Aie! I am up, I am up” Mona shouted in disgust.
“That will teach you a lesson. When I wake you up, you have to get up or I will force you to get up one way or another.” Zora said. Mona got up soaking wet, cold and tired. She zigzagged her way to the baking room. There was nothing much she could do about it. Whenever she thought she would not experience a humiliation more painful than the last one, something more horrendous happened to her.
