About the author:
I am so happy that you are here! My name is Sara Owens, and I write romantic, suspense novels almost exclusively.
A little bit about me, I am a city girl at heart. I have lived here all my life. I love writing and have ever since I can remember. Most of my novel writing started in my teens. In my room late at night, I can recall long hours spent typing away at my writing. Back in the day, I can remember typing on my typewriter, annoying my family relentlessly with the loud key tapping. Nowadays, things have become a lot more technically advanced and a lot quieter.
I try to write a little every day and hope to publish something that you truly enjoy.
What inspired you to write your book?
I was inspired to write this book because of my own relationship and watching other people's relationships. We all grow and struggle through things differently.
Here is a short sample from the book:
Tears touched her eyes as she turned her cheek just as he released her. Somehow, he still saw, still knew.
“Don’t cry, Cassie.”
She looked up at him, into those dark spheres, so honest, so incredibly strong. He was a man of his word. Having him here in a moment like this made her feel all too exposed. She could feel her attraction to him, and it angered her. She couldn’t let this happen. Landon should be the only one.
She studied his dark brown hair, his slightly tanned skin, his dark, brown eyes, large upper body build. Autry was far too handsome, far too caring for his own good.
“Everything will be just fine, we will make sure that it is, that’s a promise.”
Cassie nodded, watching him leave her office.
As he left, Cassie felt the air strip out of her lungs. Both out of the impact of the memory and of having it be Autry who was trying to protect her. How much could he possibly care for her? And to even have bothered with taking on the burden of any of this. Shit! Autry was way too close.
