What inspired you to write your book?
A love of strongly written erotica with real characters.
Here is a short sample from the book:
He had enjoyed the games when he was younger. But as his ex-wife liked to remind him whenever they saw each other through the lives of mutual friends, he wasn’t so young anymore.
“I don’t want to rush things,” he said. “But if you’re as interested in me as I’m interested in you, I really feel like we could make a memorable evening.”
“That sounds fabulous,” she said with a coy smile. “Dinner and dancing? We could take in a show?” But as she spoke, he felt her foot find his beneath the table. Her shoe was off, her toes walking lightly up his thighs. He was already half-hard for her, and had been since they’d started talking. He felt himself stiffen even more.
“You’re very beautiful,” he said. “And I’d like to make you feel good. I’d like to spend the night with you. Or whatever portion of it you care to spend with me.”
He smiled then, because the smile was the key to the honesty. He had learned that long ago, in the early days of his divorce. Too strong a smile, and that honesty seemed like ego. A grinning douchebag player with far too high an opinion of himself, and likely a lack of finesse in bed that the ego was covering for. But smile in gratitude. Smile a little bit embarrassed, a little bit uncertain, to show a real hint of how much the honesty meant. Then it became something else.
“I’d like that,” she said. Just like that. The honesty he had hoped for. But then he saw her eyes focus in on his eyes as she added, “I’ll make you feel good, too. I promise.”
“I don’t doubt it,” he said.
The success of honesty was always measured in how the woman smiled back. She was smiling back now as she said, “Are you ready for new things?”
Then she kissed him before he could say anything else…
