About the author:
Marie Silva was born in upstate New York and was raised in and around both New York City and Miami, Florida. Growing up, Marie became fascinated with stories that drew readers into another world and as an adult, became inspired to create her own work. When she isn’t creating new stories, she’s spending time with her family and friends and enjoying life with cooking, baking and yoga.
What inspired you to write your book?
I was inspired by the notion that a lost card can reunite people and in this case it blossoms into a romance. Another inspiration were my trips to Sedona, Arizona and the natural beauty of the red rocks along with the aritist community there.
Here is a short sample from the book:
She heard her name softly called out from behind her.
It took a moment for her to recognize the voice.
Smokey and deep with a New Yorker accent, which has been haunting her most recent dreams. The one man that she never thought she would ever see again.
Cyrus Walsh, the man that she was infatuated with when she was a teenager.
Now she was a young woman with a more worldly view. While her defenses were up, showing her maturity as a result of her experience, she knew that she had remnants of the angst she felt for him. It was time to face the ghost from her past as she turned around to the source of the voice.
Blue eyes met with brown eyes and the whole world stopped for both of them.
It was indeed Cyrus Walsh and my goodness, he was still the most handsomest man Celeste has ever seen.
