What inspired you to write your book?
I enjoy mind and body control–the thought of total release is appealing to me. In this story, I took that basic element and added other things I love: a little suspense, spies, and two hot men.
Here is a short sample from the book:
“I’m going to let you in on something top-secret. Maybe one of our most carefully guarded secrets. Can you promise the information you are about to hear will never leave this room?”
I nodded—secrets were what I was trained for.
“I’m not just an extractor, Alice. I’m something we haven’t seen before. We call it a projector. I can project myself into other people’s minds and control their bodies. While inside of another person’s skin, I can still extract. The problem is, the person whose body I’m in has to allow it, has to let me control them.”
A shiver went down my spine. What was he saying?
Walker stepped toward me, excitement on her face. “Don’t you see, Alice? Salvatore wants you, but he’ll get William…in your body.”
I froze, panic seizing me as I realized what they were asking. I knew extractors were trained in this sort of sexual espionage, but I wasn’t. I wasn’t, well, I wasn’t even experienced enough to be convincing.
“I’m a virgin,” I blurted out. My flush burned my cheeks, but it needed to be said. In eighteen years I had only focused on school and my training. There had never been time for boys.
Walker snarled in her disappointment, scaring me. William just looked at me, pinning me down with his stare, thinking.
“If we trained you, Alice, in both things, in letting me into your mind and learning to pleasure someone, could you do it?”
My instinct was to say no. This was asking too much. I was still so new to this job, to this life. How could I ever manage a mission like this? Yet…
