About the author:
Kristal Dawn Harris is an award-winning, American romance author. She loves romance of any kind, but paranormal is her favorite. "The Rings of Faolan-Emeralds" is her debut novel published by The Wild Rose Press, Inc. Kristal writes paranormal, contemporary, and erotic in different lengths. She also self-publishes using Amazon KU. She currently lives in Ohio (go Buckeyes!) with her husband. She's been married 27 years and has two beautiful children. Kristal attended Miami University and finished a degree in Accounting Tech. If you see her out walking and notice she walks a little funny, it's because she does! In 1999, Kristal was diagnosed with Guillain-Barre syndrome and now wears drop-foot braces on her feet and legs, but that's okay. She's a survivor and proud of it! Kristal loves spending time with her family, singing, coin collecting, swimming, the beach, the mountains, reading, crafting and anything with a darker edge to it.
What inspired you to write your book?
After finishing a degree in Accounting tech, I quickly realized I like words more than numbers. I've always wrote poetry and songs, so it wasn't a stretch to write a book. I write in multiple romance genres, but absolutely love vampire romance. I've written several, but this one I co-authored with Alyna Lochlan. We both share a love of vampires, and our writing styles blended well. Blood Bond officially releases on 6/19/2020 and is Free to Kindle Unlimited subscribers!
Here is a short sample from the book:
A low growl emanated from his chest. His summons met with denial. She ignored him. That was a novel experience. No one ever ignored the King’s summons, but then again, he liked a challenge. A small smile curled one side of his mouth. There was no doubt, he would catch his prey. Let the hunt begin. He wouldn't lose this prize.
A light flicked on upstairs in one of the room’s windows. A small hand pulled the curtain aside, and then her pale face appeared in the glass. Defiance lined her haunting, ghost-like features. Her gaze once again searched the area he occupied before meeting his gaze. Victor didn't move, letting her know he wasn’t leaving, and there was no escape. She tilted her chin and showed no fear which only annoyed him more. First, she defied his summons, and now blatantly taunted him. Did she know she was meant for him? The time of running was at an end. Victor flexed and rolled his neck on his shoulders feeling the power of the ancients in every cell of his blood. The curtain dropped in place even though he could still see her silhouette backing slowly away from the window. A wicked grin spread across his face. He would claim what belonged to him.
