About the author:
I have over 25 years of professional writing experience, mainly corporate writing, but have been telling (and writing) stories for much, much longer. I live on a hobby farm in southwest Ohio with my husband–we celebrated our 30th anniversary in 2018–and a menagerie of 4-legged beasts. We have two children, one attending university and the other serving in the military.
What inspired you to write your book?
Daydreams. There's a running collection of daydreams that fill my head and that one in particular wanted its own story. It fit in well with the Immortal Shifters series, so that's were it went.
Here is a short sample from the book:
Author Miranda and polar bear shifter Sindre meet on the set of a Las Vegas talk show. He recognizes her as his mate and the talk show host recognizes a perfect opportunity for publicity and boost in viewer ratings. She goes off-script and arranges an impromptu wedding, because this is Las Vegas, baby.
Miranda sat very still while the circus played on. Cameras from visiting media flashed. The high priestess of Aphrodite hurriedly signed paperwork a backstage assistant downloaded and printed while someone hastily cleaned the old woman’s wedding rings.
“This is insane,” she muttered under her breath and wriggled again.
As before, wriggling failed to release her, but this time she felt something harden beneath her.
“Oh, this cannot be happening,” she muttered.
“It is happening and we will be happy together,” Sindre murmured into her ear.
“Are you insane?” The word “insane” stuck in her mind. “We don’t even know each other.”
“I know you’re mine.”
She bucked against his hold, but didn’t move an inch.
“Now, don’t make a scene on national television. You’ll embarrass yourself, our host, and the film studio,” he warned.
“And what about me? And you?”
“I’m not embarrassed.”
“You should be. I am.”
“You’ll forget any embarrassment when you’re screaming my name,” he promised.
