What inspired you to write your book?
This was inspired by a screenplay i wrote a few years back.
Here is a short sample from the book:
“Hey, babe. What’s up?” I asked.
“Are you at the club tonight?” Janice questioned.
“Yep, are we meeting up later tonight?” I asked her.
“Of course, but first, I would love to dance with you,” Janice answered.
“Where exactly are you?” I questioned.
“Standing outside waiting in line with some very scary looking bodyguards,” Janice answered.
“Baby, why didn’t you tell me you were coming tonight?”
As Janice was talking, I muffled the phone and walked outside to find her. “I’m over here.”
I hung up the phone and pulled Janice into my arms and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
“Looking good tonight, baby,” I said.
“Thanks, how good, exactly?” Janice flirted and grabbed my ass and squeezed it.
“Too good for these people. How about we head over to my place?” I suggested.
“I think that could be arranged. I wanted to hang for a little bit here and dance.”
I escorted Janice inside, and we headed to the bar. Janice looked around and scanned the room looking for Antonio.
“What would you like to drink?” I asked.
“I’ll take whatever you’re having,” Janice answered.
“Someone’s feeling frisky tonight.” I pulled Janice into a kiss.
“Is Antonio here tonight?” Janice asked.
“Ouch, that hurts my feelings. Are you just using me to get into the pants of my brother?” I questioned.
Janice smacked me on the arm and kissed me on the cheek.
“If you need something, I can get it for you. I’m also part owner of Ryde,” I informed.
“I know that silly man. I wanted to talk to him,” Janice replied.
“Talk to him about what?” I questioned.
“Promise you won’t get mad?” she said.
“Janice. What’s going on?” I asked.
“Promise me first,” Janice said.
“Fine, I promise,”
“I had lunch with Sabrina today, and she told me they had a fight,” Janice answered.
“That’s what the drinking was about,” I mumbled to myself.
“What drinking?” Janice asked.
“Shit, that idiot. I swear, he always gets into this mess with women, and I end up having to clean it back up,” I muttered.
“What are you mumbling about?” Janice asked.
I looked around the room and caught Antonio sitting and talking with Camilla. Janice followed what I was looking at and attempted to walk over and confront him. She had no clue that when he’s in a mood, you stay away from him, its’ best for everyone around.
“That bastard was just with my friend and now he’s hooking up with some other slut bucket,” Janice shouted.
“Babe, leave it alone.” I stroked her cheek and kissed her on the lips to calm her down.
“I hope you don’t think you’ll ever play me like that,” Janice stated.
“I know my limitations babe,” I replied.
“Glad you figured that out, because I’d hate to have visits,” Janice replied.
“Visits? What do you mean visits?” I inquired.
“Boy, this hair doesn’t do well in jail. If I caught you cheating, murder is the case they’d give me and my hair stylist barely makes house calls,” Janice joked.
