About the author:
C J Smith began writing erotic fiction when she was ten years old, as a way of coping with childhood sexual trauma. Anden and Other Erotic Stories is her first published book but she hopes not her last. She loves to read and travel to exotic lands, so there’s no telling where she might be right now
What inspired you to write your book?
I have an overactive imagination. Literally anything can inspire me – and I usually forget what does!
Here is a short sample from the book:
Excerpt from ‘Noémie’:
“I know you were planning on going to Marc’s party tomorrow night because she told you I’d be there. Well, allow me to spare you the trouble. You don’t have to wait that long, as I’m here now… I want to get to know you… I’d love to find out how such a breath-taking woman can be single and yet obviously interested in men… Is it self-protection? You ignore the guys you fancy and only acknowledge men you couldn’t give a damn about, in case your heart gets broken? Or maybe – maybe you just like to play games … in which case … you’re in good company, honey.”
Excerpt from ‘Anden’:
“I began looking for information on sex and came across an article about sex workers and their disabled clients. I was transfixed. I could not believe the stories I was reading. So many unlived lives healed through the sheer willingness of people to try something different, something that had been deemed immoral…”
Excerpt from ‘In Toorak…’
“Of course, thinking about doing something, and actually doing it, were two different things. Now that I was here, with naked people in front of me – me, with my frumpy pants, shirt and librarian’s glasses – I didn’t feel so confident. For one thing, I was from Dandenong, a working-class suburb, and this was Toorak, where Melbourne’s elite lived.”
