About the author:
Libre Paley lives by windswept moorlands in England, a dark and brooding landscape from which she derives much inspiration. Libre’s aim is to write erotica that is sensual and emotionally intelligent. After years spent working in different countries, Libre likes to include details from her travels and experiences in her work. And since a lot of people ask, Libre is childhood nickname that stuck, taken from Elizabeth – the fact it also means ‘free’ in Spanish is a bonus.
What inspired you to write your book?
All-Hallows' Eve Rites was inspired by twin loves of history and of travel. By the Victorian's fascination with the supernatural and the gothic, by travels in Eastern Europe, and by the brooding and dark landscape of my own home region. And, as ever, the desire to deliver erotica that is intelligent and sensual.
Here is a short sample from the book:
Presented herein is the honest and true account of how I, Gabriela M., voyaged from my early existence as a sheltered girl from a family of modest means to become a lady of experience, the recipient and skilled executrix of carnal pleasures that I am today.
It is my humble but profoundest wish that the reader will find much to delight in their appraisal of my history, how evening by evening and night upon night I intensified my joy and artistry in the diversions of the flesh.
As any story must, we shall begin at the beginning, the origin of the tale finding me a maiden of nineteen. For my life truly did not start until that earliest encounter with the beloved of my heart. With the kisses and the words of his mouth he seduced me. That nightfall saw me initiated into practices my young mind had not come near to conjuring. It tapped deep wells of shameless enjoyment and released a wider, more gratifying universe than my narrow childhood existence could have anticipated.
In the season where darkness comes early, when frost lacquers the bared branches of the trees, and the moon is suspended low in the sky, I am carried back to the budding thrill of that first time.
