What inspired you to write your book?
Our present should always consist of people who have positive goals, enjoying life while getting to know each other as real love blossom. I thought about the type of books that are popular with young readers today like, ‘In Love With A Thug’ or ‘Thugalishish’ and wanted to create a more panoramic view of various lifestyles. Young people should be reminded that they have choices and the world is not one dimensional or waste their time on being critical. To not allow the person with the biggest mouth to control their future. Our everyday existence shouldn’t feel like a battle. Here is a short sample from the book:
1) Eddie Lancing wasn’t perfect, but he was familiar with qualities she preferred in a man. He always knew how to handle her without taking it too far respecting her principles.
2) Somehow he’d forgotten again that it was near the noon lunch crowd. Tyre was still thinking about Breona, who had arrived for breakfast this morning. She was stunningly beautiful inside and out in his eyes, and he couldn’t see how a man hadn’t snatched her up already.
3) “Tanis, it was not promised to anyone that life would be a breeze. We’re all going to be constantly challenged and teased. A basic understanding of what we need to grow is the first thing we should strive to know. We have to learn to avoid the cross fire of emotional tension, open up our minds and learn to listen. We have to try and make ourselves see, how truly rewarding life’s education can be.
4) Once off the phone she thought about how it wasn’t easy to arrive at this point in a relationship. She knew most people thought the personals and dating services were full of losers and, quite frankly, very strange people. Which is why you have to be very careful how you handle this process, so as a precaution, she made a point to have several long conversations before agreeing to meet. Most didn’t have the patients for that.
