What inspired you to write your book?
This novel was the product of attempting to answer that age old question: Why do men cheat. It doesn’t come up with an absolute answer. But it details why this one particular guy strayed from the woman he loves. It is a romance, drama, and a comedy. What I like to call a “dramedy”. I hope you find it thought-provoking as well as entertaining.
Here is a short sample from the book:
“C’mon Carol. You know I’m not like that.”
“Do I? I thought I knew what you were like. I thought you were a faithful guy. But you fooled me on that one.”
The line was quiet for a few seconds. George stood up and began pacing back and forth. Damn it, he thought to himself. This was a fucking disaster.
“Carol, it’s not like that. I wasn’t planning to cheat on you, things just got . . . ”
“I can’t believe you just said that,” she shouted over him. “Am I supposed to be relieved that you accidentally cheated on me? How the hell does that happen anyway? Did she trick you into thinking she was me? I saw her and she looks nothing like me. Huh, explain that to me.”
George stared at the ceiling as if the words he was seeking were somehow written there. “No, that’s not what I’m saying. I’m trying to apologize…”
