What inspired you to write your book?
Many years ago, as a little girl, I visited a haunting old house near Derby, Elvaston Castle. It had a rather eerie graveyard with a crypts set into a green mound like a burial mound. I never forget the atmosphere, and so this house and its cemetery have become the basis of this time slip novel.
