  • The Meet-Cute by RW Richard

I love romantic comedies nearly all have Meet-Cute situations, among my favorites are Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail, and It Happened One Night. I’m sure you have your favorites. Well, you are in for a treat. This novel is full of meet-cutes.
Sierra is a Ph.D. candidate and TA in Sociology and is obsessed with the Meet-Cute in real life. She wants to explore examples and see if they jive with Hollywood’s version for her dissertation. Her handsome professor and mentor stands in the way. He thinks the subject isn’t real, doesn’t do justice to her genius, and diminishes her ability to contribute something meaningful. Not only that, she wants to insert herself into the experiments by forcing meet-cutes. A big no-no. But Sierra is obsessed, she always has been as she has a touch of autism. Her genius is not unlike Extraordinary Attorney Woo [NetFlix] with her photographic memory but that’s where the similarities end.
It’s hard to say no to a gorgeous, exotic force of nature who acts like a robot, that is, with no other interest except her Ph.D. He won’t let her extreme beauty cloud his judgment. Besides he still mourns the loss of his wife, and let’s face it, she fights him like hell on every sociological issue and she’s usually right, for God’s sake.

You, the reader and lover of meet-cutes know the answer to this problem.

Their stories are told in the same loving, passionate voice readers have come to adore in Melissa’s other series. Some of the Wickeds’ love stories will be hilariously fun and deeply emotional, others will tear at your heartstrings and include injections of humor, but they will all leave you wishing you could climb between the pages and join them!

Writing is Scarlett’s destiny, her purpose in life. If she could finish her novel. She just keeps getting interrupted by all the people in need—and animals and trees and flowers.

Like Cole. He splats face-first before her feet like it was fate. Kismet. A sign. He is just the inspiration she needed for her book. Tall, dark hair, glittering eyes. A surgeon sporting a super-hot, disapproving stern face. Surely, a smile lived inside him somewhere.

But Cole has no plans to get involved with anyone. Certainly not a sassy, hippie who thinks flowers have feelings. Still, somehow he keeps tripping into her, even when he tries his hardest to stay away.

That incredible urge to back her up against a wall and do things to her? That chemistry couldn’t be real. It just couldn’t be.
A meet cute, opposites attract, can’t-help-yourself, steamy romantic comedy.
