Mary Besley

Carrie May is a small town girl who just left her simple life back in Mississippi to attend college in Boston. Shy and unfashionable, she finds it difficult to make friends. In one of her classes, she meets Jake Duncan, a boy who first seemed quite rude but eventually becomes taken with her. But, campus rumors say that he has a dark past and Carrie suspects that Jake is indeed hiding a terrible secret. Unfortunately, Carrie has already begun to fall in love with the troubled soul.
