Contemporary Adult Romance

  • The Meet-Cute by RW Richard

    0 out of 5

I love romantic comedies nearly all have Meet-Cute situations, among my favorites are Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail, and It Happened One Night. I’m sure you have your favorites. Well, you are in for a treat. This novel is full of meet-cutes.
Sierra is a Ph.D. candidate and TA in Sociology and is obsessed with the Meet-Cute in real life. She wants to explore examples and see if they jive with Hollywood’s version for her dissertation. Her handsome professor and mentor stands in the way. He thinks the subject isn’t real, doesn’t do justice to her genius, and diminishes her ability to contribute something meaningful. Not only that, she wants to insert herself into the experiments by forcing meet-cutes. A big no-no. But Sierra is obsessed, she always has been as she has a touch of autism. Her genius is not unlike Extraordinary Attorney Woo [NetFlix] with her photographic memory but that’s where the similarities end.
It’s hard to say no to a gorgeous, exotic force of nature who acts like a robot, that is, with no other interest except her Ph.D. He won’t let her extreme beauty cloud his judgment. Besides he still mourns the loss of his wife, and let’s face it, she fights him like hell on every sociological issue and she’s usually right, for God’s sake.

You, the reader and lover of meet-cutes know the answer to this problem.
