Aenor is a warrior on a mission to rise from the disgrace of past mistakes and prove herself worthy of the queen’s elite guard. When she’s sent to find and retrieve Marius, she is wary of the Maester, as handsome as he is dangerous. Logic dictates that he couldn’t have survived such a brutal existence for 400 years, without committing some major sins along the way.

Bound together by need, all Marius and Aenor want is to live long enough to save the prince and return to their separate lives. That is until powerful assassins, a growing attraction and fate get in their way…
