Author Tammy Lyons Shares Their Story

I was born in Corona California and raised in beautiful Southern California. I lived a year dangerously in Amsterdam where you can be anyone you want to be. I presently reside in Mission Viejo, California, however my heart always lies elsewhere. I live to travel. So if there is adventure to take I already have my passport stamped.

I started writing at a young age. I started writing songs with my guitar. I may not be able to carry tune but I can write a lyric or two. I always dreamed of the unimaginable that is where my stories turned from dull drum to exciting. I always use the word – really- to describe my storyline. If you think it is not possible well it is.

What inspires you to write romance books?
I love the feeling of being in love. When you write your characters you become one or more of them. You feel what they feel. You believe what they believe. You see what they see. Sometimes you get a little carried away and become one of them. Their personality can run over yours but the experience can never be duplicated.

Tell us about how you write:
I love to write with a crowd gathered around me. My imagination is only hampered by the quit. I require the movements and observations to swirl around my universe in order to obtain the next level of consciousness. I tend to write the ending first than the beginning. I end at the middle.

Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
I feel my characters. I want to be able to see what they are doing in order to logically come to the next scene.

What advice would you give other writers?
Just keep plowing through. No matter how many rejections you receive it doesn’t matter because someone will eventually say yes.

How did you decide how to publish your books?
I took the first publishing deal I could grab.

What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Publishing is going to be all ebook in the future. It is easy to carry around and bring anywhere.

What genres do you write:: Fantasy Romaance

What formats are your books in: eBook, Print, Both eBook and Print
