About the author:
Karen grew up outside of Chicago with her mom, dad and two older brothers.
She traveled a lot and has finally settled down in a small town in East Tennessee in the mountains. Something about the mountains called to her and still does.
She loves to make her own swag and other gifts. She also loves anything to do with the outdoors.
Her favorite snack is gummy worms and bears. Her favorite drink is a white monster. She says she is a monster before she has one.
Her family is everything to her and they support her 100% with her dream to become a well-known author. She is taking it one step at a time and one book at a time.
What inspires you to write romantic fiction?
There was so many that have inspired me. I have always loved romance., but the one person who inspired me the most was Ednah Walters. Her writing sucks you in the whirlwind of romance and doesn't let you go until the end.
Tell us about how you write.
I write with n open heart and a open mind. I don't force the words to come out.
Do you listen to or talk to to your characters?
Yes, I do both actually. They write the book not me. I just let them use my fingers.
What advice would you give other romance writers?
Let your love shine through your words. Don't hold back.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
Well I didn't know what in the world I was doing and I went with a publisher. I do want to warn people make sure you do your research before you just pick one. New authors have been burned by the pitch oh we would love to publish your book we have your back. Trust when I say make sure you do a lot of research.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I've never been asked that. I think we will have more and more people will talk people into reading making the publishing market sky rocket.
Which romance sub-genere(s) fit your stories best?
Dark fantasy
