Author Interview: Faye Hall

About the author:
Come on a journey with me through 19th century North Queensland, Australia and explore the passions and hardships of unique characters.
There is corruption, deceit and murder, as well as cattle rustlers, slave traders and hell fire clubs. Explore townships of Jarvisfield and Inkerman, as well as Ravenswood and Bowen. One book even incorporates my great grandmothers cattle station 'Inkerman Downs Station'.

As well as an author, I am also the most spoilt wife in the world, and a very contented mother.

What inspires you to write romantic fiction?
I enjoy creating characters and giving them happy endings and showcasing the history of Australia.

Tell us about how you write.
I have a large family so I write when and if I can. I try to start with a rough plan but then usually I write and see where the characters take me.

Do you listen to or talk to to your characters?
I do talk to them, mostly to ask what they are doing. And yes i try to listen to what direction the characters try to take my story.

What advice would you give other romance writers?
Try to take bad reviews constructively.

How did you decide how to publish your books?
I feel more confident being traditionally published. I like having someone else want my work and think it's good enough to publish.

What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I do worry that some authors will get lost in the sea of anyone being able to publish anything anywhere at anytime.

Which romance sub-genere(s) fit your stories best?
historical romance

My books are available in the following formats:
eBook
