Author Interview: Erzabet Bishop
About the author:
Erzabet Bishop is a USA Today bestselling and award-winning author who writes paranormal and erotic romance. She lives in Texas with her husband, furry children and can often be found lurking in local bookstores. She loves to bake, make naughty crochet projects and watch monster movies.
What inspires you to write romantic fiction?
I love the way a story can develop where two (or more) people feel that spark around each other and the reader gets transported to another world.
Tell us about how you write.
I usually craft a general outline with sticky notes and arrange them on a board. Then I start to write, shaping the piece as I go.
Do you listen to or talk to to your characters?
*laughs* All the time. Sometimes they just won't shut up.
What advice would you give other romance writers?
Write the story you would want to read.
How did you decide how to publish your books?
It was funny. I work in a book store and when the 50 Shades craze hit, I thought…why not. I could write something like that. And I did. It was kind of a self dare kind of thing.
What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think there are so many opportunities out there and that authors need to work together so we all succeed.
Which romance sub-genere(s) fit your stories best?
paranormal, erotic, LGBT, shifter, vampire, kink
