Author Interview: Connie Ruth Vejar

About the author:
Connie Ruth Vejar, writer of vampire romance,known as the Vampire Romance Writer. Born in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky on a cold snowy day, raised in the sun in Central Florida. Mother of three grown children. Works as a charge nurse by day and a writer of vampire romance by night. Lover of all things cold, dreary and spooky.

What inspires you to write romantic fiction?
I get a lot of inspiration from old horror movies and just spending time around old graveyards. I also get inspired by spending time alone in a cabin in the Eastern Kentucky mountains where I was born.

Tell us about how you write.
Writing vampire romance seems to come naturally to me. It seems all I have to do is sit down a mb d the words just flow from the depths of my mind.

Do you listen to or talk to to your characters?
Yes and yes. I place myself in the midst of each and every story that I write and I become one with my characters.

What advice would you give other romance writers?
Never give up on what you truly believe in. Always believe in yourself even when it seems like no one else in the world believes in and your work.

How did you decide how to publish your books?
I decided to concentrate on getting my work to the masses after my three children were teenagers. I had more time to concentrate on my love of writing.

What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think that books are never going to go out of style. Where would the world be if there were no way for writers to share their "dreams" their "stories " with the world ?
