About the Author
I live with my extended family in a town not too far from Glasgow, East Kilbride. I absolutely love reading, anything from fantasy, sci fi, crime, thrillers, erotica and a host more, I just love words!
I love writing and have a lot on the burners. I hate getting my picture taken hence the lack thereof, I usually have the pic of the cover of my very first book – Defender’s Blood Alex’s Destiny – check it out – but it was too large a file to load here.
I am more than a little OCD lol! I actually started writing as a kind of therapy to help with my OCD! I have to say it has been a great help!

What inspires you to write romance books?
I am a romantic at heart. Always have been. I love to try and put into words what others feel, want or wish for. If I can make anyone at all feel just a bit better then I’m very happy. Even if it’s just making someone feel a teeny bit hot.

Tell us about how you write:
I don’t have any kind of structure to my writing. I get an idea in my head, sit down, start typing, and it just goes from there. I can start something with one thing in my head but my fingers type something else entirely. Usually it works out but sometimes I have to go back and change it. My head is constantly full of words and ideas and the only way to get them out of my brain is to type them – so that’s what I do. My head is a scary place to be sometimes lol.

Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
Sometimes I do but mostly not. The main female lead in my Defender Series – Alexina – well she and I have had several conversations! Another one is Peri, from The Witch, the Wolf and the Vampire, I’ve asked her a couple of things before when I was pondering on a particular scene. The one in which she loses her virginity to not one but two guys (one a wolf and one a vampire). Both of whom adore her but it was a scene I tried to do with thought to exactly what was happening – I hope I portrayed it right.

What advice would you give other writers?
As I’m fairly new to all this I’m not sure I’m qualified to give advice. The only thing I would say is if you are thinking of writing and putting it off – don’t! I did for years and wish I hadn’t.

How did you decide how to publish your books?
Oh that’s a good one. I started writing as a kind of therapy and release and I bought an old second hand notebook. I sat down and started typing and before I knew it I had three books! I hadn’t planned on doing anything with any of them and just continued writing. Finally I gave them out to friends and family who were a little shocked to say the least. My sister used to be a librarian and she urged me to do something with them. I was far too scared to send anything off to a publisher etc so started looking into kindle books etc. I realized that was the only way for me to go so researched it fully and took the plunge. Now I’ve got eight published on Amazon, and a couple on Apple, B & N and Kobo. I’ve got another two just about ready for release too.

What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think that with time we will see less and less of the old school publishing houses. The internet and self publishing is, in my opinion, the way things will progress.
